what material is this die pin made out of? asking cause we run pretty harsh conditions in the shop and don't want something that's gonna give out on us quick

Carbon steel is the material used for this pin. For general shop use and hydraulic tooling applications, carbon steel holds up well under the mechanical demands that come with crimping and die work.

i broke a roll pin on my Aeroquip setup, is this die pin the right kind of part to replace it?

As a spare part roll pin from Aeroquip by Danfoss and Eaton, this die pin is meant for roll pin replacement use where that style of pin is called for.
