trying to hook a DIN tube end up to a 1 inch NPT port, is this the right adapter?

For that kind of changeover, it fits the bill. One end is a DIN tube connection M42 x 2.0 in size S30, and the other end is a 1 inch male NPT connection with a 1 - 11.5 NPTF callout.

Got a DIN tube setup on a hydraulic line and need to tie it into a 1" NPT port. This the right fitting for that?

That's what this one's built for. One end connects to a DIN tube at M42 x 2.0 with an S30 size, and the other end threads into a 1" male NPT port with a 1-11.5 NPTF callout. Steel construction, straight configuration, so no bends or offsets to worry about. Pretty straightforward adapter for bridging those two connection types.
