does this adapter work for connecting a BSPP line to a JIC fitting, or am I gonna need something in between?

No in-between needed. One end is 3/4 BSPP male and the other is a 10 MJIC, which is a 37-degree flare SAE fitting. That straight adapter connects the two directly. It's a common pairing when you're working across equipment that mixes British and SAE thread standards, and this fitting handles it in one piece.
