Product Questions & Answers

got a hose end with a 37 degree JIC on it, will this adapter let me tie that into an ORB port?
Question by: Billy R on Dec 6, 2025, 8:32 AM
It bridges an SAE 37 degree male (JIC) connection on one side to an SAE ORB male on the other, so it is meant for exactly that kind of hookup between a JIC hose end and an ORB style port.

Will this adapter hold up in a salt water environment, say on a fishing boat?
Question by: Lee H on Aug 11, 2025, 11:38 AM
Dura-Kote plating gives this Eaton Aeroquip adapter superior corrosion resistance, so it's well-suited for marine applications where it'll be exposed to saltwater.

This adapter, does it hold up in saltwater or chemical environments, or is it more of a standard shop fitting?
Question by: Ricky W on Sep 1, 2025, 4:20 PM
Dura-Kote plating is what sets it apart for those kinds of conditions. That coating provides strong corrosion resistance, which is exactly why this part gets specified for marine, offshore drilling, and chemical processing work. Carbon steel underneath gives it the structural backbone, and the plating handles the environmental punishment. It's not just a shop-grade fitting by any stretch.
