Product Questions & Answers

got a 1 inch nptf male port on the pump and need to swing over to a 20 jic line, is this the right elbow?

Match-up wise, it fits that exact changeover. One end is 1 inch NPTF male pipe thread and the other end is a 20 size SAE 37 degree flare male, which is the common JIC style connection. It’s a 45 degree elbow adapter, so it also gives you an angled turn instead of straight out.

what's the corrosion resistance like on this fitting? running it in a pretty wet marine environment and last set rusted out faster than i'd like
Question by: Shawn M on Jan 23, 2026, 11:25 AM
Carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating is what you're getting here, and that plating is specifically built to push corrosion resistance beyond what standard finishes offer. Marine is actually one of the listed application environments for this adapter, so it's suited for exactly that kind of exposure. The Dura-Kote coating is what separates it from bare steel fittings that tend to give out quicker in salt air or high-moisture setups.
