What kind of environments is this adapter suited for? I work in a chemical plant, and things get pretty corrosive.

This straight adapter is a good choice for harsh environments. Dura-Kote plating gives it superior corrosion resistance. It's also used in marine, military, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and off-shore drilling.
