Will this here fitting work with a standard NPT fitting?

This adapter has NPTF threads on one end, which are compatible with NPT. The other end is a 45-degree SAE flare.

Trying to swap a fitting out here, is this one a straight adapter from 1/4 female pipe to a 45 degree SAE male?
Question by: Bobby P on May 19, 2025, 8:59 PM
For fit and thread style, it is an NPTF female on one end in 1/4 size, and an SAE 45° male flare on the other end in size 6 (0.625).

what's the thread setup on this thing? one end NPTF and the other SAE 45 flare?
Question by: Chad H on Mar 21, 2026, 5:29 PM
That's right. One end is 1/4 inch NPTF female and the other is a 6 M SAE 45 degree male. It's a straight adapter, so no angle change in the line itself, just a thread conversion between those two connection types. Good fit when you're bridging pipe thread fittings to a 45 degree flare port.
