runs about 385 newton meters of torque on paper, but how's it hold up on something like a swing motor that cycles constantly through the day?

Swing motor duty cycles put real stress on hydraulic motors, and the 2000 Series handles that application well. The Geroler disc design is built for efficiency, which means less heat buildup over long operating stretches. That said, you'll want to keep fluid viscosity in the recommended 100 to 200 SUS range during operation, and the max case pressure without a drain line is 2000 PSI. If your system runs continuous back pressure above that, you'll need to run an external case drain and make sure the motor case stays full at all times. Also worth noting: the manufacturer recommends a break-in period of about an hour at 30 percent of rated pressure before putting it to full load. Skip that step and you're shortchanging the motor's long-term durability.
