What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have on it? Running equipment outdoors and rust has been a real problem with some of the cheaper fittings we've been using.

Carbon steel fittings in outdoor or high-moisture environments can rust out fast if they're not treated properly. This one uses Dura-Kote plating, which is specifically applied to give it stronger corrosion resistance than standard bare steel fittings. It's built to extend the working life of your hose assemblies, so it should hold up a good bit better than uncoated alternatives in tough conditions.
