What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have? Running equipment outdoors and rust has been a real problem with some of the cheaper stuff we've tried before.

Dura-Kote plating is applied to the exterior, which gives it a solid layer of corrosion resistance that holds up better than standard zinc or uncoated carbon steel fittings. For outdoor or high-moisture environments where rust has been chewing through lesser hardware, that coating makes a meaningful difference in how long the assembly stays serviceable.
