trying to swap out a fitting on a -6 hose, is this one meant for that dash size?

It is built around a -6 hose dash size, and it’s an Aeroquip 1A Series crimp hose fitting assembly.

what's the corrosion resistance like on these fittings? got equipment sitting outside between jobs and rust has been a real problem with cheaper stuff

Eaton Aeroquip puts a Dura-Kote plating on these that's built specifically to hold up against corrosion better than standard zinc or plain steel finishes. Carbon steel underneath, but the coating does the heavy lifting when it comes to moisture and environmental exposure. For fittings that see weather or harsh wash-down conditions, that plating makes a real difference over time.

It's designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems. If there's a chance of shock, you'll want to use H277 or H435 hose.
