what's the corrosion resistance like on this fitting? got equipment sitting outside between uses and rust has been a real problem with cheaper parts

Carbon steel fittings usually raise that concern, but Aeroquip puts a Dura-Kote plating on these to give them better corrosion resistance than standard uncoated steel fittings. It won't make them fully immune to harsh outdoor exposure over long periods, but for typical conditions where equipment sees weather between jobs, the plating holds up noticeably better than bare steel alternatives.
