We got some older Eaton hydraulic lines we're trying to tie into a new setup. This a -4 on one end and -5 on the other, or am I reading that wrong?

You're reading it right. One end is a -4 FJIC connection and the other is -5 FJIC, so it's a reducing swivel fitting that lets you join two lines of different sizes without adapters stacked on top of each other. The swivel function also means you can rotate the fitting during installation to get the angle right without twisting up your hoses.
