Can this handle general hydraulic work, like on a tractor or farm equipment?

It's designed for general-purpose low and medium-pressure hydraulic applications, so it should be suitable for a lot of farm equipment. If you use H277 or H435 hoses, it is a good choice where there might be shock hazards.
