Product Questions & Answers

What kind of hydraulic applications is this fitting really good for? I'm using medium pressure stuff.
Question by: Wade S on Aug 2, 2025, 6:33 AM
This Aeroquip fitting is best for general-purpose low and medium-pressure hydraulic systems. Also, it's compatible with H277 or H435 hoses in systems where you might have shock hazards.

fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose, but what if theres shock hazards involved on the line? does that change which hose i should be running with it?
Question by: Rusty T on May 15, 2025, 1:45 PM
When shock hazards are present, you'll want to go with H277 or H435 specifically. Those are the hose types called out for exactly that kind of situation. For general low and medium pressure hydraulic work without shock concerns, you have more flexibility, but if there's any chance of pressure spikes or impact loading on that line, sticking with H277 or H435 is the right call.

trying to swap out a hose end, is this one a male SAE ORB and what size is it?
Question by: Shawn T on Jul 25, 2025, 6:18 AM
For fitment, it uses a male SAE end and the end size is 0.875 inches. It is also a -10 hose dash size fitting assembly.
