does this fitting work for general hydraulic lines, or is it built for somethin more specific?

Carbon steel construction and SAE Code 61 flanged end make it well suited for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems. The 60 degree elbow geometry helps when routing hose in tight spaces where a straight fitting just won't clear. Keep in mind the product notes call for H277 or H435 fittings in applications where shock hazards are present, so this one is better matched to stable, predictable line conditions.
