Product Questions & Answers

Will this fitting hold up to general hydraulic use on my farm equipment?
Question by: Dale W on May 18, 2025, 9:28 AM
For general-purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics, this Aeroquip fitting should do the trick. It's also got Dura-Kote plating to help fight off corrosion.

got a -10 hose on the bench, is this fitting the right match for it?
Question by: Scott K on Oct 29, 2025, 12:49 PM
For hose sizing, it lines up with a -10 dash hose since the Hose Dash Size is listed as -10. It is a 1A Series crimp hose fitting, so it is meant to be used in a crimped hose assembly rather than a reusable style.

does this fitting work for general hydraulic lines, or is it only meant for something more specific?
Question by: Ray M on Dec 7, 2025, 9:38 PM
General purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems are exactly what this fitting is built around. It uses a BSPP female swivel end on one side and connects to a -10 dash size hose on the other, so it covers a pretty wide range of everyday hydraulic work. One thing worth knowing up front: if your application involves shock hazards, you'd want to look at the H277 or H435 hose options instead of running this in that kind of situation.
