what's the corrosion protection like on this fitting? got equipment sitting outside between jobs and rust has been a real problem with cheaper parts

Dura-Kote plating is what sets these apart from standard carbon steel fittings. That coating is specifically built for superior corrosion resistance, so exposure to the elements between uses should be a lot less of a concern than it would be with uncoated alternatives.
