what's the thread size on the male end of this fitting, trying to match it up to an existing port that's 1/4 inch NPTF

The male threaded end is 1/4 inch NPTF, so if your port is sized and threaded the same way, you're in good shape. The other end is a 1/2 inch push-to-connect, and the whole thing sits at a 45 degree angle between the two connections. Brass construction with Dura-Kote plating, so it holds up well against corrosion in air brake applications.
