So, this is for air brakes, but what else can you use it for?

Its application is specifically for air brake systems, with the exception of setups where temperatures climb above +200°F or where battery acid might drip onto the tubing. It's not intended for fuel, water, or oil lines.

got a 3/8 line and need to tee off with a pipe thread in the branch. is 1872X6X6 the one for that?
