trying to swap out an old elbow on an air brake line, what sizes are on this one?

For sizing, this swivel elbow has a 1/2 inch Push to Connect end on one side and a 1/4 inch NPTF male thread on the other.

Does this fitting hold up decent in air brake setups, or is it more of a light-duty thing?
