So this thing's carbon steel, right? How's it hold up if it gets wet, like if it's raining or something?

Carbon steel gives it good strength, but keep in mind it can rust if it's exposed to moisture for long periods. You might want to consider some kind of coating if it's gonna be in the weather a lot.
