How tight should I make the flange connection on this thing? I don't want to overtighten it and cause any problems.

It's designed for a Code 62 flange, so ensure you're using the correct torque specifications for that flange size. The fitting itself has a 1/2 inch flange size and a 3/4-16 UNF Brennan 1 thread, which may have its own torque specs to consider.
