got a line running M20 x 1.5 DIN tube fittings and need to tie into a 1/2 NPT port, this the right adapter for that?

That's what this one's built for. One end is M20 x 1.5 DIN tube, male, and the other is 1/2-14 NPTF, also male. Both threads are on there, both male, so as long as your receiving ports are female on each side you're good to go. It's a straight adapter, steel construction, 42mm overall length. Adaptall makes it, so the tolerancing is solid.

got a hose end that’s M20 x 1.5 DIN, and the port on the valve is 1/2-14 NPTF. is this the straight adapter to tie those together?

Built for exactly that thread changeover, it has a male M20 x 1.5 DIN tube connection on one side and a male 1/2 - 14 NPTF on the other, in a straight body.
