part number 16235-111 -- is that the backup washer or just the main seal? trying to make sure i order the right piece before i pull everything apart

That part number is the backup washer specifically. Backup washers are the secondary support elements that sit behind the primary seal to keep it from extruding under pressure cycling. They are not the main seal themselves. If your hydraulic assembly uses both, you would need to order them separately.
