Product Questions & Answers

Will this fitting work to connect a 1/2" JIC to a 3/8" BSPP port? Just want to make sure before I order.
Question by: Rick J on Sep 24, 2025, 7:01 AM
That's precisely what it's designed for, providing a reliable transition between those two sizes and thread types. The 1/2" JIC side has a 3/4-16 UNF thread, and the 3/8" BSPP side has a G 3/8-19 thread.

adapter's only 39.7mm long, will that be enough clearance to get a wrench on it proper when its installed in a tight spot?
Question by: Billy R on Sep 10, 2025, 1:38 PM
At 24mm wrench width, you can get a standard wrench on it without much trouble. The 39.7mm length keeps the overall footprint small, which actually helps in cramped assemblies rather than hurting. As long as you've got enough room to seat the JIC side into your fitting and thread the BSPP port end in, the compact size works in your favor. Tight installs are really where a straight inline adapter like this earns its keep.

got a hose end that’s 1/2 JIC male, will this adapter screw right onto it and give me a 3/8 BSPP female port?
Question by: Cindy P on Jan 21, 2026, 7:56 AM
With a 3/4-16 UNF male JIC on one side and a G 3/8-19 female BSPP fixed port on the other, it’s meant to transition from a 1/2 inch JIC connection to a 3/8 inch BSPP port in a straight, inline setup.
