Product Questions & Answers

Does the Dura-Kote plating hold up when you're running water-based hydraulic fluid through it, or is that more of a petroleum-only thing?
Question by: Vince M on Sep 6, 2025, 8:22 AM
Carbon steel fittings without a good protective coating can struggle with water-based fluids over time, but the Dura-Kote plating on this fitting is built specifically to handle both petroleum and water-based hydraulic fluids. That corrosion resistance is a core part of what makes this fitting suitable for general industrial service, not just straight oil systems.

Will this spud work with regular hydraulic hoses? I'm just trying to get the right fit.
Question by: Warren C on Jun 24, 2025, 2:50 PM
It's made to connect directly to hydraulic lines, hoses, and tubes, so it should work as long as the end sizes (0.375 and 0.0393) match what you're using.

got a hose setup that needs a -6 fitting, what are the ends on this swivel spud?
Question by: Wayne S on Apr 14, 2025, 9:16 AM
On this one you are looking at a male NPT connection on one end, and the other end is a line, hose, or tube style connection. It is a -6 hose dash size fitting.
