Product Questions & Answers

got a tight spot to route hose, how sharp can i bend this -16 without kinking it
Question by: Ross G on Mar 9, 2026, 11:09 AM
For routing in a tight area, the minimum bend radius on this -16 hose is 7.38. Staying at or above that radius helps keep the reinforcement from getting stressed and keeps the hose from kinking.

Need to know what kind of fittings to use with this here -16 hose. Can I just use standard crimps or what
Question by: Steve B on May 21, 2025, 8:27 AM
Reusable or 100R5 Crimp fittings are required for the 1503-16 line. Standard universal crimps won't work since the hose has a specific 3-braid polyester and wire construction built for those exact fitting styles.

hose is rated for gasoline and fuel use, but what's the lowest temp it can handle before it starts getting stiff or cracking on me?
Question by: Harold A on Feb 11, 2026, 7:59 PM
Rated down to -40 degrees, so cold snaps and winter storage conditions are not going to be an issue for this one. The synthetic rubber tube holds up well at those low temps without going brittle, and the polyester and wire braid reinforcement keeps it from losing its shape under pressure when things cool down fast.
