got a 1/4-18 male NPTF port on one side and need a swivel on the other, is that what this adapter is set up for?

On the connection side, it is a straight steel adapter with a male NPTF (SAE J476) thread on one end and a female NPSM swivel (SAE J514) thread on the other. Both ends are 1/4-18, so it matches that size and thread style combination.
