This adapter uses a male NPTF thread (SAE J476) and a female NPSM swivel thread (SAE J514), so it's made to work with those specific standards.

trying to swap out an old adapter, is this one male NPTF on one end and a female swivel on the other?

For hooking up a straight connection, it’s a male NPTF thread on the B1 end (SAE J476) and a female NPSM swivel thread on the B2 end (SAE J514). Both ends are 1/8-27.
