Product Questions & Answers

trying to swap a fitting on an air brake line, is this one the straight adapter with a 1/4 NPTF male end?
Question by: Jimmy W on Sep 18, 2025, 6:04 AM
For air brake systems, it’s a straight adapter with an NPTF male end in 1/4 inch size, and the other side is a female connection for line, hose, or tube in 1/8 inch size.

does this thing have any kind of corrosion protection on it, or is it bare brass?
Question by: Lance P on Mar 14, 2026, 2:14 PM
Eaton puts a Dura-Kote plating on these connectors specifically to hold up against corrosion. Bare brass alone can be vulnerable in rough environments, so that coating is a real practical advantage if you're running air brake lines anywhere moisture or road grime is a concern.
