Got a machine that needs serious torque at real low RPMs. This Char-Lynn putting out 1,530 newton metres, is that the continuous rating or just a peak number?

That 1,530 newton metre figure is the torque rating for this motor. The Dowmax ME Series is built specifically for low-speed, high-torque work, so strong output at low RPMs is the whole point of this design. High starting torque is also called out as a feature, which matters a lot when you're trying to move a heavy load from a dead stop without losing grunt.
