motor's only 12.2 inches wide but that torque rating seems awful high, is 2620 newton meters accurate for something this size?

For an axial piston motor in the Dowmax ME series, that torque figure is right in line with what this platform is built to deliver. Axial piston designs pack a lot of torque into a relatively compact footprint compared to other motor styles, so the width and the torque rating aren't really at odds with each other. This is a low-speed, high-torque motor, which is exactly the category it falls into, and that 2620 newton meter rating reflects what it can produce under those conditions.
