For a -12 dash hose, the 12E-362 matches the hose dash size listed as -12 and it’s an E Series crimp hose fitting.

fitting's got a BSPP thread on one end and connects to a -12 hose on the other side, that right?

Correct on both counts. The port end is 3/4 BSPP with a 60-degree cone seat, and the hose end is sized for -12 hose. The swivel design on the BSPP side lets you thread it in without twisting the hose assembly, which saves a lot of headache during installation in tight spots.
