Running injection molding equipment and been looking at upgrading the hydraulic pump. Does this PVM098 actually cut noise down that much compared to older piston pumps, or is that just marketing talk?

Noise reduction on piston pumps is a real engineering challenge, and the PVM Series addresses it directly. Vickers by Danfoss rates this pump at 50% less noise compared to conventional open circuit piston pump designs. For injection molding environments where machines run in close quarters and operators are nearby all shift long, that kind of reduction is genuinely noticeable. It's not a rounding-error improvement.
