Dura-Kote plating for superior corrosion resistance|Design flexibility with hundreds of styles to choose from|Higher operating pressures above SAE standards
fitting's made of brass and goes push-to-connect on one end, NPTF on the other -- what kind of applications is this actually meant for?

Compressed air and pneumatic systems are the intended use here. The NPTF end threads into a port or component, and the push-to-connect side accepts tubing without any extra fittings or tools. Both ends are 1/4 inch, so line size stays consistent through the connection. Brass holds up well in those environments, and the Dura-Kote plating adds a layer of corrosion resistance on top of that.
