got an older Char-Lynn motor on a mower rig, is this one actually the 2000 Series bearingless disc geroler style?
Question by: Hubert H on Aug 31, 2025, 7:05 AM
For context, this part is an Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 Series disc Geroler motor in the bearingless configuration, and it’s listed under the low-speed gerotor or geroler motor type.

torque rating on this one says 1445 newton metres -- is that enough grunt for running a trencher or wood chipper attachment off a hydraulic setup?
Question by: Judy H on Jun 27, 2025, 10:53 AM
For trencher and wood processing applications, 1445 Nm is a solid output. The Char-Lynn 2000 Series Geroler motors are well-regarded in exactly those kinds of demanding mobile equipment setups. The bearingless configuration on this particular unit is built for applications where the motor mounts directly to an external bearing arrangement in the machine, so the host equipment carries the load rather than internal bearings. As long as your system is designed that way and your flow stays within the 150 liter per minute rating, this motor fits right into that kind of work.
