brass adapter gonna hold up alright in a corrosive environment, or is that gonna be a problem?

Brass on its own handles mild corrosion pretty well, but this one also carries a Dura-Kote plating on top of that, which pushes the corrosion resistance up a good notch beyond what bare brass gives you. For most shop and field environments, that combination holds up solid.

Correct, this Eaton Aeroquip adapter is just the spare part nut from the 1110x series.
