It's built to SAE 010110 standards, so it should be compatible with other fittings meeting that spec.

got a Weatherhead 1110x fitting, is this 1110X10 nut the right spare part for it

For replacement work, the 1110X10 is a Weatherhead 1110x series spare part nut, and the supplier part number is 1110X10. If your existing nut is marked 1110X10, this matches that part.

what's this nut made out of, brass or steel?

Brass all the way. The 1110X10 is a brass nut, which holds up well against corrosion and works nicely in hydraulic fitting applications where you need reliable sealing without worrying about rust eating it up over time. The Dura-Kote plating adds another layer of protection on top of that.
