got a brush cutter setup running a swing function and need to know what kind of torque output I can expect out of this motor
Question by: Bobby B on Aug 31, 2025, 5:01 PM
Rated at 775 newton metres, this unit puts out serious torque for that kind of work. Brush cutters and swing motor applications are right in its wheelhouse, so you're not going to be underserving the load if the rest of your system is sized right.

got a brush cutter that’s been hard on swing motors. is this one meant for that kind of work?
Question by: Carl H on Jan 31, 2026, 8:42 AM
For equipment like brush cutters, mowers, and harvesting machines, this motor is a common fit, and it is also used as a swing motor. It is a Char-Lynn 2000 Series disc Geroler motor built in cast iron, so it lines up with the kind of hydraulic drive work those machines see.

Is this motor suitable for continuous use in harvesting equipment?

This Eaton Char-Lynn motor can certainly be used for harvesting equipment applications, among others, though the lifespan will vary based on operating conditions and maintenance.
