torque rating on this one says 765 Nm -- is that enough for running a swing motor on a mid-size excavator application?
Question by: Wes G on Aug 13, 2025, 9:26 PM
For swing motor use, 765 newton metres puts this unit well within range for mid-size equipment. The 2000 Series Disc Geroler is actually listed for swing motor applications specifically, so that use case lines up with what the motor is built for. The Geroler design also runs at lower pressure drop than most comparable motors, which tends to help with the smooth, controlled rotation swing applications demand.

Application-wise, this Eaton Char-Lynn motor is definitely suitable for swing motors, and it's also used in brush cutters, mowers, and harvesting equipment.
