i keep seein “shaft charge pump” on these piston pump parts, what is this one actually for?

part number 103358-170, is that the shaft charge pump for the HD 1.7 or is there a different one I should be looking at?

Supplier part number 103358-170 is exactly the HD 1.7 shaft charge pump. It's sold as a single unit, so what you see in the package is the shaft charge pump itself, nothing extra bundled in. If HD 1.7 is the size you're working with, this is the right part number to order.
