Got a harvester that keeps chewing through motors, would this Char-Lynn 4.5 hold up better than what I been running?
Question by: Harvey T on Oct 4, 2025, 12:24 PM
Cast iron construction and extended bearing life are built into this unit, so it does handle demanding harvest conditions better than lighter-duty alternatives. The S Series Spool Geroler design is rated to 150 newton metres of torque, which gives it real staying power under load. For harvester applications specifically, it's listed as a supported use case, so you're not pushing it outside its intended range.

got an auger setup that doesn’t have a lot of room, is this motor more on the compact side or is it a big ol unit

For tight installs, this one is built as a compact yet powerful Char-Lynn S Series spool geroler motor, so it’s aimed at applications where space is limited but you still need usable torque.
