got a 1/2 inch hose and a 1/2 pipe port, is this the right fitting to tie those together

For matching sizes, it lines up as a 1/2 inch hose barb sized for 1/2 inch hose ID on one end, and a 1/2-14 male NPT pipe thread on the other.
