What kind of thread connection does the male end on this adapter use?

The male end runs a 3/4-16 Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare thread, built to SAE J514 spec. That's a pretty common standard in hydraulic line work, so it should pair up clean with fittings and hoses already running JIC flare connections on your system.

i've got a hose end that’s 3/4-16 JIC, is this the right straight adapter to tie into a 1/2 tube bore?

For matching threads, it lines up with what you described. One side is a Male JIC SAE 37 degree flare in 3/4-16 (SAE J514), and the other side is a BORE connection sized for tube OD 1/2-1/2. It is a straight steel adapter in Brennan’s 0403 series.
