Will this lock nut work with standard hydraulic fittings, or is it specific to certain brands?

This bulkhead lock nut is made to the SAE J514 standard, so it should work with any hydraulic fittings that also meet that spec. You'll want to double-check that your other components also follow the SAE J514 standard.
