We run a conveyor line at our facility and been looking to cut down on some of that hydraulic noise. Does this pump actually deliver on the quieter operation, or is that just marketing talk?

Real noise reduction is built into the PVM Series design, and Eaton rates it at 50% less noise compared to conventional piston pumps in this class. On a conveyor application that runs most of the shift, that difference is noticeable over time, both for operator comfort and overall ambient noise levels in the work area. It's not a marketing stretch on this one.

Can this pump handle the tough conditions in a mine, like it says in the description?

This PVM series pump is definitely built for demanding jobs, and mining is one of the applications it's designed for. You can also expect it to hold up well in injection molding, metal forming, and even oil and gas equipment.
