Viton is the material used throughout this kit, and that choice matters quite a bit depending on what's running through your pump. Viton holds up well against elevated temperatures and chemical exposure, making it a better fit for applications where standard elastomers tend to break down faster. If your system runs hotter than average or uses fluids that are harder on rubber components, Viton is generally the right call over a basic nitrile setup.
