Product Questions & Answers

Will this here valve work okay for a die casting machine?
Question by: Rusty G on Mar 29, 2026, 10:01 AM
For die casting and foundry applications, the Vickers DG5V50CMUH710 directional control valve should work well, since that's one area it was designed for. It's also used in machine tool and primary metal applications, so it's built for industrial environments.

flow rate on this thing is 160 LPM, that enough for press or die casting work, or is it gonna be a bottleneck?
Question by: Neal R on Mar 23, 2026, 5:20 PM
For die casting and press applications, 160 liters per minute is a solid capacity. Both of those environments put real demand on a directional control valve, and this one is specifically listed for die casting, foundry, and press use, so it's not being stretched outside its intended range. Whether it becomes a limiting factor depends on what your system demands, but the rating itself lines up with those application types.
