Product Questions & Answers

If I'm runnin' this valve pretty steady, will that 38 watts it draws be a problem for overheating or anything?
Question by: Frank S on Jun 2, 2025, 1:28 PM
This valve's 38-watt draw is relatively low, so overheating shouldn't be a significant concern under normal, continuous duty in typical industrial settings.

Flow rate on this one says 40 litres per minute. Is that enough for press and die casting work, or do them applications usually need something higher?
Question by: Roy P on Mar 30, 2026, 7:15 AM
For most press and die casting setups, 40 litres per minute sits right in the functional range for directional control valves at this stage. The DG4V-5 series is specifically listed for die casting and foundry use as well as press applications, so the flow capacity lines up with what those environments typically ask of a single-stage valve. Keep in mind this is handling fluid direction, not raw volume output, so what matters most is whether your system pressure and flow demand fall within the valve's operating window rather than chasing a higher number for its own sake.
